When we left the hotel, our stay according to the Hotel front desk was going to be $51.75 after the discounts for being trapped. We booked through Expedia so they had to do the discount through them. Then after some argument, they agreed to give a discounted rate for the mishap.
After over an hour of being trapped inside our room, with both kids, they finally decided to break the door down to get us out. It took calling the front desk multiple times, then the owner to come and try and get us out. The next morning as we were set to check out, car got loaded and turned on to start cooling down before we loaded kids into it, I walk inside to get wife and kids and checkout, and we got trapped inside our room! The door handles broke apart within the door and weren't withdrawing the mechanism to undo the latch. We had a good evening and went to dinner down the road. We checked in right around 3pm, then immediately hit the pool with the kids. We decided to stop here for one night to break up our travels with kiddos.
